So imagine there’s this great place. Its the best place in the world, whether its the people in the place, or whatever happens in this place, the idea of this place consumes you. And you’re promised you will get to go there some day. You don’t need do too much to get there, and the things you need to do always end up good in the end or at least yield well results. You can bring people with you too, as many as you want. They just need to do the things with you, and they can end up enjoying it as well. So you want as many people to end up in this wonderful place as well, so you start telling them about it. You start helping people to get there. And then you have a group of people helping you help the others. They go with you, and tell people and help them on their way to this place. But in this group is a person. Maybe they’re a friend, or a family member, or someone you’ve just been around for as long as you can remember. But they’re in this group you have made up, and they go around with you trying to help people and discuss the long journey to this place. Sometimes this person doesn’t come when you all get together, maybe they’re busy sometimes, and sometimes they just don’t want to come. But sometimes you can make them come if you ask them, and they give a little smile and come along. So the time comes for you to get to this place. You hug everyone and smile at them, you tell all the people you’ve helped to believe you hope to see them there. You tell your group to help more people believe, and then you start your journey. You take the trip in your favorite way, walking, flying, train, whatever you please. You enjoy the journey, after the initial uncomfortableness fades, and you finally see the place up ahead. The plane lands, the train slows, you walk in through the gate, and you look around. It’s simple amazing.Beautiful, totally how you imagined it and more. You look around at all the happy people. They’re all happy, and you recognize some of them as the people you’ve helped, and the people from the group. The people you love surround you, all happy with their journey and with the place. It seems that all of your group and friends are there, the ones already gone and the ones you remember saying good bye to. You walk through the people you love, but something feels a little different. You haven’t touched as many people as you usually do, smiled quite as many smiles, or given as many hugs. You stop in the middle of the place and look around. You look at each face, and count each laugh. Some one isn’t here.Your person isn’t here. They didn’t make it. Your best friend, boyfriend, or sibling isn’t in this dazzling place with you.You stop completely. You said good bye to them. They smiled at you. You thought they would be here. Why weren’t they? All those times they didn’t want to do what everyone else was doing, they didn’t want to go out into the world and tell tales of the place, hoping and praying that more and more people would believe and make the journey. That they told you they were busy, or even said they didn’t want to tell people, they would if you asked them. But, they didn’t always seem happy telling people about the place. And you star thinking. Maybe, just maybe you never even told them about the place. They knew about it, of course. But maybe they didn’t know much about it. Or maybe they didn’t want to go. Did they even believe in the place? You realize you don’t even know that. They were always there when you were talking about the place, when people talked about the wonderful place, but no one ever talked to them about it. Not even you. They couldn’t help people with something they didn’t even know about themselves. Then you start to wonder why you didn’t know. We’re there no signs? Did they ever try to tell you? Maybe they cried out, trying to make you hear that they needed some help. But you never heard them. You look around. There are other people whose smiles don’t look quite so bright. The place is still beautiful, but there are some people missing. You know it’s not your fault, but you could’ve done a great deal to prevent it. You could’ve noticed. You could’ve given them a hand on the road here.
You resume your walk through the place. It’s spill so beautiful, not quite as Beautiful as it might have been.
